Okay, today’s post is a little different and I love different. It is from my awesome friend, Leila Brown. In her post, she tells you a little about our history and I’m gonna hope a lot of you have read my books, cause she’s gonna give you a quiz of sorts for some presents… I’ll work out the details on the winner from this one… This is gonna be fun, so put on your thinking caps…
It’s Lissa’s birthday and I thought that there was no better way to celebrate than to count down the ten best qualities of a hunk. You choose which one quality hooks you:
1.) Sacrifice
2.) Determination
3.) Loyalty
4.) Courage
4.) Dedication
5.) Valor
6.) Selflessness
7.) Conviction
8.) Gallantry
9.) Perserverance
10.) Bravery
Heroes:
“Officer Hunky” aka Michael from Arrested Holiday
Aidn Greer from Pink Buttercream Frosting
“Wild Man” aka Carson from Artic Shift
“The Dominant” aka Jack from Educating Rose
Decker from Cracklin’ Rosie
“The Candy Man” aka Grahman from Sugar Rush
“Tattoo” or Vinter from Simple Need
Buck from Sweet Caroline
Delan from The Demon is an Angel
“Swingman” aka Jethro from The Swing
There are so many good heroes out there. I’ve named ten heroes from Lissa’s books. You match them up in the comments section with the traits above. One of the commenters will win a copy of my latest release Solstice Heat and a $10 Amazon gift certificate.
That’s the contest now on to the fun.
I met Lissa when she wrote her one and only book for Cobblestone Press, Educating Rose. She is so smart and funny and we just clicked. We are critique partners and so much more. We are friends. I’m old enough to know that friends are hard to come by. So on this special day lets all celebrate Lissa and her awesome writing talent.
Lissa is an awesome friend…..Happy Birthday Girl!

I ended up just guessing, this was a lot harder than I thought it would be LOL. Plus, there are 11 qualities (there are 2 #4s) and 10 heros. So, I gave one hero two LOL.
1.) Sacrifice – “Swingman” aka Jethro from The Swing
2.) Determination – “The Dominant” aka Jack from Educating Rose
3.) Loyalty – “Tattoo” or Vinter from Simple Need
4.) Courage – “Swingman” aka Jethro from The Swing
4.) Dedication – Delan from The Demon is an Angel
5.) Valor – “Officer Hunky” aka Michael from Arrested Holiday
6.) Selflessness – Aidn Greer from Pink Buttercream Frosting
7.) Conviction – Decker from Cracklin’ Rosie
8.) Gallantry – Buck from Sweet Caroline
9.) Perserverance – “The Candy Man” aka Grahman from Sugar Rush
10.) Bravery – “Wild Man” aka Carson from Artic Shift
this is a tough question because I don’t always get the same thing that someone else does from the character and because I’ve only read 3 of the books in the group..enjoyed them all but definitely didn’t get the same things from the characters that Susan did…lol…so I’m going to pass….
I haven’t read all the books yet either – working my way through them. So I am going to pass on the matching attributes. But I have to say that Determination was my favorite attribute on the list!

Ok so I can’t really answer this question because to me very character from Lissa’s books show to some degree all of the qualities, which to me is why I love her books so much. Plus What I see in and how I see a character will probably be very different from other people. Everyone sees people differently. Loved the book description Leila. Hope you had a great birthday Lissa.
Perseverance is my favorite attribute. Tough contests (I’m not well read enough to be able to fill it out) but lovely birthday party! And Solstice Heat sounds wicked! 😀 I love angry sex stories.

WOW this one is a tough one, I am going to pass as well. But one of my favorite attributes is actually sacrifice, I am a hopeless romantic at heart and to see a hero go thru certain things to get his heroine makes me swoon.
I am a newer follower so I haven’t had a chance to read any of Lissa’s books so I’m not going to even try. Though this looks like a lot of fun.
I must pass, too. I will be adding these books to my wishlist, though.
I’ve read most of Lissa’s books and some heroes qualify for more than one of those. hmmm..I’ll have to think on it.
Solstice Heat sounds good.
Ok…here are my answers:
1. Sacrifice – Aidn
2. Determination – Delan
3. Loyalty – Wild Man aka Carson
4. Courage – Swingman aka Jethro
4. Dedication – Tattoo aka Vinter
5. Valor – Officer Hunky aka Michael
6. Selflessness – The Dominant aka Jack
7. Conviction – Decker
8. Gallantry – Buck
9. Perseverance – The Candy Man aka Graham
10. Bravery – Swingman aka Jethro
This was fun! Thanks Leila!

1.) Sacrifice- “The Dominant” aka Jack from Educating Rose
2.) Determination- Aidn Greer from Pink Buttercream Frosting
3.) Loyalty- Buck from Sweet Caroline

Okay, I kept coming up with one hero missing and I realized there was two #4’s. So I went and Dallon from Carnal Ecstasy. lol My fave one is Loyalty, got to be loyal. 🙂
I haven’t read all of Lissa’s books so can’t really do a match up but I love all the qualities!
I’ve not read all of the books yet so I have to guess on some of them.
1.) Sacrifice – “Officer Hunky” aka Michael

I have to pass on the quiz as well… Solstice Heat sounds like a great read!
I have only read one of the books. Fiddle stix! Cool idea for the blog though. My favorite trait off the list is loyalty.

I’ve had the pleasure of reading all of these stories, and what I love about Lissa’s men is that they all have these hero qualities, so this was a tough list for me too.
So my guess:
Sacrifice-Jack
Determination – Dallon
Loyalty – Vinter
Courage – Jethro
Dedication – Decker
Valor – Carson
Selflessness – Delan
Conviction – Graham
Gallantry – Buck
Perserverance – Aidn
Bravery – Michael

Not trying the matchup, as I haven’t read all of Lissa’a books…yet. But the trait I value most is loyalty.
Can’t do the matchup, as i haven’t read all the books.
I think loyalty is most important trait!
canadianluck[at]gmail[dot]com
Loyalty is important. While the heros all have some degree of every one of these traits, I thought Vinter was perfect in every way. It is really so hard to pick one each. Carson, Buck, both pretty determined tempered with perservence and loyalty. Graham, hmmm. Both Swingman and Officer Hunky were brave and proved their valor, just by their choice of job, career, service. There are a couple of the books I haven’t read, so maybe that makes it harder to pick.
I like the in your face conflict hinted at in Leila’s book, sounds like they’ve been thrown together unexpectedly, and the “loving” will be HOT HOT HOT.
Alrighty, here are my choices….
1. Sacrifice – Aidn
2. Determination – Delan
3. Loyalty – Wild Man aka Carson
4. Courage – Swingman aka Jethro
4. Dedication – Tattoo aka Vinter
5. Valor – Officer Hunky aka Michael
6. Selflessness – The Dominant aka Jack
7. Conviction – Decker
8. Gallantry – Buck
9. Perseverance – The Candy Man aka Graham
10. Bravery – Swingman aka Jethro
My favorite trait of all of them is sacrifice.

I have only read two of Lissa’s books because I only just got introduced to her writing so I am unable to match up the books. The two that I read were great and I look forward to reading more

I have to agree with other commenters that there is definitely overlap in terms of qualities–many of the heroes display more than one attribute. But here goes:
1.) Sacrifice–Decker from Cracklin’ Rosie
2.) Determination–Delan from The Demon is an Angel
3.) Loyalty–Buck from Sweet Caroline
4.) Courage/10.) Bravery–“Swingman” aka Jethro from The Swing
4.) Dedication–“Officer Hunky” aka Michael from Arrested Holiday
5.) Valor–“Tattoo” or Vinter from Simple Need
6.) Selflessness–“The Dominant” aka Jack from Educating Rose
7.) Conviction–“Wild Man” aka Carson from Artic Shift
8.) Gallantry–Aidn Greer from Pink Buttercream Frosting
9.) Perseverance–“The Candy Man” aka Grahman from Sugar Rush
