Today, I have Diana and Tanya, the Mistress’ of a fairly new blog on the block, The Forbidden Bookshelf. I have found that both are very fair and honest in their opinions of erotica, erotic romance, and BDSM erotica/erotic romance…
They are also generous ladies and at the end of my Birthday Bash, they will gifting a reader with $15 in eBook Bucks from All Romance eBooks!
Diana:
Birthday Memory: The birthday memory that jumps out at me was my 37th birthday. We’d gone to the mall the day before, and my son picked up a yucky virus (kids + mall play areas = GERMS!). I spent my whole birthday holding and rocking my poor little feverish boy! Dinner and cake plans were cancelled. He was only one year old at the time. Is it a good or bad memory? Well, bad because he was sick, but I did get to cuddle with him all day. Someday he won’t want his mom to hold him, so I have to appreciate the times he let me. (Had we gone out for dinner, it would have been to a Mexican restaurant. That’s my favorite food!)
Blurb:
A mythic warrior who’ll stop at nothing to possess her . . .
After enduring years of torture from the vampire horde, Lachlain MacRieve, leader of the Lykae Clan, is enraged to find the predestined mate he’s waited millennia for is a vampire. Or partly one. This Emmaline is a small, ethereal half Valkyrie/half vampire, who somehow begins to soothe the fury burning within him.
A vampire captured by her wildest fantasy . . .
Sheltered Emmaline Troy finally sets out to uncover the truth about her deceased parents — until a powerful Lykae claims her as his mate and forces her back to his ancestral Scottish castle. There, her fear of the Lykae — and their notorious dark desires — ebbs as he begins a slow, wicked seduction to sate her own dark cravings.
An all-consuming desire . . .
Yet when an ancient evil from her past resurfaces, will their desire deepen into a love that can bring a proud warrior to his knees and turn a gentle beauty into the fighter she was born to be?

~*~Blurb~*~
Of old, humans and Faeries have dwelt side by side in parallel realms. Only the canniest mortals recognize the alluring creatures that often walk–and lie–among them.
The righteous Fae of the Seelie Court cherish an ancient quarrel with their Dark counterparts: a curse born of anger and deceit. The Unseelie Court will perish unless one of is princes can win a woman’s love–honestly, without coercion… and love her wholly in return.
To halt the slow demise of his people, Prince Thane–the embodiment of Lust–infiltrates the Georgian court to seduce his mortal inverse. Noblewoman Chastity Lennox is purity incarnate–a sensual prize well worth winning. But Thane’s carnal quest proves more challenging than he ever dreamed.
No other has ever been able–or willing–to resist his erotic charms. Chastity’s resolve is maddening… and intriguing. It makes him want her all the more. But how best to seduce one who truly seems above temptation? Discover her greatest weakness and become the intoxicating essence of her deepest, most forbidden desires..

It’s so tough when your babies are sick, I remember a
few episodes like those and they were tough.
Wow, those are two smokin’ hot covers. And the books
don’t sound shabby either LOL.
Diana- it’s a good memory even though your son was sick because as you said there comes a point when they no longer want to hug or kiss you:)…..I absolutely loved Hunger Like No Other…fantastic series!
Tanya- the book you choose looks interesting…I’ll have to read more about it:)
I too love Kresley Cole’s A Hunger Like No Other. I remember that I bought it on a whim and it took me months before I read it. When I did finally sit down and read it I was blown away. I loved it, and quickly glommed all of her books that she had out at the time.
As for Lust, I can’t wait to read it. I have it on my wishlist and I hope to buy it soon. I love both historicals and paranormals and it’s hard to find books that are in both worlds.
Ah – I miss those snuggly times with my daughter so much! Glad you were there for him, and I hope you got to postpone mexican for another day (it is one of my favorite foods also!)

Mexican is a favorite for me as well, though my husband claims it is all the same ingredients just put together a little different for each dish.

I know I will probably be shot, but I have not read Kresley Cole yet….she is on my mountain of TBR pile. Plan on checking out Charlotte Featherstone’s book and going over to check out your blog too.

Thank you for sharing your fave books, these are new authors to me so I will definitely check them out.
That’s one of my favorite books in Her IAD series. I’ve never read any books by the other author though.
These books look interesting. I visited the website and found some new *gems*. Also, i like the fact that you can give an ebook as a gift on the site. Very convenient. Thanks.

I haven’t read Kresley Cole either. But I keep being told I have to read them.Someday I’ll get around to it. I have a huge TBR pile.
Lust I am waiting patiently for in the mail.I cannot wait to read this one.
Hunger like no other is a great read. Love me some Cole. I haven’t had to the pleasure of reading any of Featherstones work but I really hope to soon. There are so many great books out and so little time to read everything I see.
I really hate it when the babies are sick. It’s so hard on them and us. Mexican food, yum, a favorite of mine too, more of a TexMex variety for us, though… Both books look smoking. lisagk at yahoo dot com

Sad birthday but it’s true how you should cherish moments no matter how bad.
I discovered Charlotte Featherstone and her works a couple of weeks ago. As soon as I saw Lust’s cover, I knew I had to have that book!
I’m going to check out The Forbidden Bookshelf now.
Thanks,

I have missed many a birthday because of a sick child. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My birthday month is the same as my boys, and I think we probably stopped celebrating mine for those first ten years, because of course, kid’s birthdays were oh so much more fun than mine. Which totally worked for me, lol.

You share a birthday with my son 🙂 We still haven’t eaten his cake yet, and yes, believe it or not, I made Mexican for dinner last night! He loves rolled soft tacos- taquitos- with nachos (i put corn chips smothered in shredded colby jack cheese under the broiler) YUM!!
Now that cover of the Featherstone book looks like it should be hanging on someone’s wall- GORGeOUS! I like Cole a lot. This Blog is new to me, but I will be back!
I just noticed that I didn’t leave my email on Friday.

A Hunger Like No Other is one of my fav books. I must have read it at least 10 times. A great series! So glad I read it before The Warlord Wants Forever because it was not as good as I was expecting, could have a lot to do with being a novella, which I don’t love. LOL The rest of the series is fab. Can not wait to get Dreams of a Dark Warrior in mail.

I looked up Kresley Cole and her books sound really good. Think I might have to give the series a try. Thanks for introducing me to another author.

Kids always seem to get sick at the worst time. My kids seem to plan it on holidays, or when we are taking a 18 hour road trip, or I’ll never forget the Thanksgiving our whole house had the flu and I was soo sad we didn’t get any Turkey

That comment is kind of ironic. I have to attend a 1st reconciliation party today and I almost missed it because I was sick! Hmmm!

What a bittersweet memory, Diana! I do enjoy time to cuddle my little ones; it’s a bummer that sometimes they have to be under the weather to appreciate it 😉
And thanks for the hot recommendations! Adding to the list!
