We haven’t talked about coffee in ages. Yes, I know this is MY fault, but y’all could help out once in a while and prompt me. You know, I’m not adverse to a good spanking or flogging or… I mean, hop on my Twitter, or Facebook, my email, or hell even here on the blog somewhere and say ‘Hey Lissa! Why no coffee talk lately?’ Or some such similar conversation starter… I’ll respond. Promise.
So, I’m still in love with the Keurig. In. Love. I didn’t take it on vacation with me to the mountains, because my mom was here taking care of all my animals and she’s in love with the Keurig as well and though I had to be pried away from it with a crowbar, I did manage to leave it here for her to enjoy. I took my trusty French press to the cabin with me and was perfectly fine happy and content with it. I still love that incredibly strong, silky coffee it gives me…
My current favorite Keurig flavors are the Kona blend (I want someone to put 100% Kona in a K-cup. Well, other than me, that is. But it’s not a hassle really and I don’t mind. Just sayin’…) and Gloria Jean’s Butter Toffee. OH. MY. GOD! I don’t even have to drink this one. I just punch the hole in the top and sniff it all day. It’s really sweet. It’s very caramel smelling. It’s a medium roast and I tend toward the darker roasts, but… damn, it is good. I will often brew a cup of Kona and brew a lighter/medium coffee in the same cup… It works for me!
I have also found Organic Valley French Vanilla Half and Half. Add this to one cup of the Kona blend and Ahhhhh… Yum! It’s sweet and it’s the only thing I need to add… I can only find it in one store here in Charlotte, and that’s at Earth Fare, but it is well worth it.
Then, there’s the normal coffee. You know, the kind you buy in the bag from the store or the coffee shop. And yes, I do still do this too, cause, well… It’s coffee and I can. But, a friend of mine told me I needed…NEEDED…to try Kaladi Bros. Coffee. They’re based in Alaska. Who knew? Okay, those in the Pacific Northwest obviously knew, but over here on the East Coast? Yeah, I’d never heard of them. I looked through their available coffees, found there was nowhere over here in my corner of the country that I could find it, and had to resort to asking him for a recommendation. He said I should try Trieste Cafe…
The description says “A symphony in the mouth. Great as a straight espresso blend, or perfect for brewing.” I nodded, added it to my virtual cart, and now it’s on it’s way from Alaska to North Carolina. I can’t wait!
As I was sitting here writing this post, I decided it was time for us to have a giveaway. I mean, I have a new story out and you know? There’s not one mention of coffee in it. Anywhere. Not that I remember anyway.
But, I haven’t given away a book in a long time. I haven’t give away coffee in a long time either. And sooooooooooooo… Let’s do both!
Tell me what your favorite Keurig flavor is and I need the specific name (Tully’s Kona blend, Gloria Jeans Butter Toffee, Coffee People whatever…). Even if you use yours for tea or cocoa, leave a comment telling me that and your flavor choice.
If you do not have a Keurig, tell me what coffee, tea, or cocoa you usually buy. Brand. Flavor, Etc…
And then there’s the story, Masked. I’ll pick three readers to receive a free eBook copy.
Bobby tells himself the mask he’s been wearing all month is just part of the Halloween theme of Abyss, the alternative lifestyle club he frequents. But it’s not the truth. He’s in lust. He’s in the closet. And, he’s ready to come out. The only problem is, the man he’s interested in is a friend. A straight friend.
Thor knows he’s being watched. What he can’t figure out is why? Every weekend, the man in the black mask has been watching as Thor has flogged, paddled, and whipped submissive after submissive at his play station at Abyss. The man’s heated and unwavering gaze arouses Thor’s curiosity. Is the man a stalker? A jealous dominant or boyfriend? Thor isn’t sure, but decides it’s time to find out.
As he approaches, something in the eyes of the masked man strikes Thor as familiar, but before he can question further, the man reveals exactly what he wants. A spanking. Bare-handed. In private. From Thor.
Secret identities and hidden desires unfold between a seemingly straight Dominant and the submissive harboring a deep, long-held onto lust in Masked.
(This is a male/male erotic spanking story… if you do not wish to be considered for a copy because you don’t like male/male or spanking or both or whatever, please say so in the comments when you leave your coffee, tea, or cocoa preference. It is certainly not my intent to offend any of my readers or visitors.)
Coffee will be given to two readers. Masked will be given to three. And everyone is eligible for both! Any questions?
I’ll give y’all until…Friday at 6pm EST. At 7pm I’ll start emailing winners! Oh and yes please, please, PLEASE make sure to leave your email address when you comment!
Have an awesome day!

I have used our Keurig but have found I don’t like it as much as making my lattes and tea from scratch. My husband likes Green Mountain Coffee Caramel Vanilla Cream. I tend to make English Toffee lattes from Hills Brothers English toffee or Cai lattes from Big Train.
Look at all of us making our own lattes! Grins…
Hi Lissa,
I don’t have a Keurig. The coffee I buy is from the famous coffee/donut shop here in Canada.Tim Horton’s 🙂 Just the regular blend they have.I just add flavored coffee creamer..either Hazelnut or Caramel Vanilla.
Thanks for the chance to win masked. Can’t wait to read it.
I want to try the Caramel Vanilla!
I don’t have a Keurig, been wanting one though to easily make all sorts of one cup beverages. I do splurge on Starbucks once a week and love their cinnamon dolce latte.
Thanks for the giveaway!
joderjo402 AT gmail DOT com
OH! Their Cinnamon Dolce is the only latte I’ll drink now from Starbuck’s until their Gingerbread lattes come back…
Okay…. I don’t have a thing-a-ma-gi like you but… I do love me some coffee! But since I moved to the northern part of the states… I can’t get my community coffee that I love so much. And I have not found anything that wakes me up quite like CC’s coffee…. The only thing that has kinda come close is Dunkin Donut’s coffee… So the search continues!!!!
Thanks for the chance! Hope all is well!
Hey you! Yes! I know you love your coffee and we definitely need to do something about finding you an awesome replacement for your CC!
I don’t have a Keurig but I want one really bad. I love a good strong coffee and I try different ones all of the time. I don’t have a favorite yet. I love going to coffee shops and trying out new flavors.
I love doing that same thing, Sherry!
To try out the Keurig, I wish I did drink coffee, but it’s tea for me, usually Chai.
Haven’t had a chance to pick up Masked, yet, Lissa, so this is a perfect prize.

I love Chai spiced teas in the winter! I saw a Chai spice tea in K-cups the other day that I intend to get for myself. And even if you don’t drink coffee, they have cocoa, hot apple cider, and tea k-cups… Just sayin’… 😉
My favorite is Green Mountain Breakfast Blend
I haven’t tried the Green Mountain Breakfast yet, but I liked the Nantucket Breakfast blend. I’ll have to give yours a go…
Love my Keurig!!! My favorite k cup this time of year is Kahlua. Instead of Half & Half or milk I use Egg Nog and it is nummy 🙂
nursejackie32@hotmail.com
I didn’t like the Kahlua. I wanted to. I kept trying it over and over and over again. I couldn’t find the right sweetness for it… Guess I should have tried egg nog with it, but that never crossed my mind. Maybe I’ll splurge on another box of it and try it… If I don’t like it, I know now who I can send the remaining K-cups to! Grins…
I am in love with my Keurig too! I got it for Christmas last year & everyone in the house fights over who gets to use it first. I love the Gloria Jean’s French Vanilla Supreme, I’ll definitely have to try the Butter Toffee. the Celestial Seasonings hot & iced teas are also fabulous.
Now see, I’ve never tried the Gloria Jean’s French Vanilla Supreme! I have some Van Houtte French Vanilla and it’s kinda blah to me. So, I’ll give yours a try…
I don’t have a Kurig *iz sad* — instead I’m addicted to Starbuck’s Instant Italian Blend Dark Roast. It’s the closest thing I have found to the taste of espresso without actually taking the enamel off of my teeth lol
And to take it a step further, I make my own Pumpkin Spice Lattes with it Mmmmmmmm!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Jess (New Follower)
I make my own Gingerbread Lattes… I’ve never tried using the Starbuck’s Via Instants for it though… I have some. I should try it… Thanks for the tip!
Hrm. I thought it would have left my email address because I typed it in with my name and website, but I don’t see it in my comment. Oops!
it’s romanceaholic at gmail dot com 🙂
I came for the coffee, I’ll stay for the mask and spanking… 😉
I have an aeropress… can I still play? I like Guatamalan Antigua coffee best, with Costa Rica coming in second. I only get organic coffee, with lots of eco-tags thrown in, like bird-friendly, shade-grown, fair-trade, that sort of thing.
I’m a spanking fan, for sure, but you know, I have actually never read a male-male erotica book. So I’m game to try!
Yes, of course you can still play! An Aeropress requires coffee! LOL… I have one, too. An Aeropress but I’ve never used it. Do you love it?
I got the Keurig for my bday last year, and I LOVE it!! My favorites (I have several) are the Newman’s Special Blend, Tully’s House Blend and Donut Shop Coffee. Some of the others that come close are Gloria Jeans (Hazelnut), Caribou Blend, Emeril’s Big Easy Bold. I’m a 50/50 coffee/tea drinker, I’ll go several weeks just drinking coffee, then several weeks just drinking tea and it’s a good thing there’s tea cups for the Keurig 😉
I love almost all the flavors. But because prefer to purchase fair trade coffee, I normally drink the Newmans Own Decaf from Green Mountain in the k-cups. Did you purchase the adapter for the Keurig that allows you to use your own ground coffe in the machine? I couldn’t tell from your blog entry, but I’m guessing you use your French press instead.
Hi Selina… I actually do have one of the reusable K-cups. I used it this morning in fact with Starbuck’s RED. I love it. It’s why I still buy bags of coffee because that makes the choices even more unlimited and because I still enjoy all the coffees I used normally and want to still drink them. I do still use my French press though too when I want a really strong cup of coffee…
I don’t drink coffee at all, I am a tea drinker, and proper tea too… no herbal or fruit tea for me!
I buy PG Tips!
I mostly drink herbal teas – Lemon Zinger or raspberry are my favorites to make. THough I am ADDICTED to Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade – YUM!
No need to enter me – I already have Masked – can’t wait for the next one!
