When I started this week with blog posts and presents to giveaway, I didn’t know what to expect in the way of responses, but y’all have blown me away with them. I have laughed, I have spewed the elixir of like that is coffee, I have cried. Some of the very sweetest and most heartfelt comments have been left by you guys for me, for other authors, for those in your lives… So, thank you.
Now, onto today’s present. You will have a week to get your responses in. A week to tell people about it. A week to plot and plan on how to get rid of your competition. I will pick the recipient Saturday morning, March 3rd at 10am EST.
Of course, you’re wondering what it is, right? I know. But, I did tell you at the beginning of the week what the big gift was, remember? No? Hmmm… very naughty of you.
Yep. A Keurig. I am giving away the Keurig B60 Special Edition. It has the option of 3 cup sizes. It has a 48oz water reservoir and depending on how much coffee or tea or hot cocoa you drink in a day… It has a pretty blue display where you can set water temp, time to come on, time to go off, etc… This is the model I have and I love it.
Even if you don’t drink coffee, as I said, you can use the hot water for tea or cocoa. There are K cups for both of those or you can just dispense the hot water into a cup and go about it that way.
I am a coffee whore. This is no surprise to my regular readers. I drink it nearly every day. I have multiple gadgets and paraphernalia and coffee brewing apparatuses. I enjoy it and honestly, I haven’t even been drinking coffee 10 years yet. I think I’m only 7 years into it and less than 5 years into regular non-froufrou coffee. Y’all know I still love my lattes and won’t ever give them up, though they are a once in a while thing and not an everyday indulgence. I drink it when I’m writing and I like having a cup of something, either coffee or cocoa when I’m reading. There’s just something cozy and nice about it…
And a Keurig makes it fast! So, I wanted to share that with you by giving you one.
What do you have to do? Well, yesterday I asked you to tell me what author you’d most like to meet. Today, I want to know who in your life, in the world, in your fantasies, you’d like to share a cup of coffee/tea/cocoa with. Give me one person, past, present, future…famous, or not…family or friend…author or blogger, etc… that you’d most like to sit down with and talk.
I haven’t asked any of you to follow my blog, sign up for my newsletter, join my Facebook page… If you’d like to do so, I’d love it. More readers for me… But these are not required. Should you choose to do one of them, over on the sidebar —–> is where you’ll find all the information you need.
So, who’s ready? Remember, you until 9:59am EST, Saturday, March 3rd to get your comments in. I usually ask you to leave your email address so I can contact you, however concerns have been raised and are definitely valid. Sometimes an email address will come across in my email from the commenter, sometimes one won’t. If you win and I have your email address then I will contact you. If you win and I don’t have your email address, then it will be up to you to contact me within 3 days of the winners being posted. You can contact me at Lissa AT LissaMatthews DOT com (lissa@lissamatthews.com).
All winners from all giveaways here on my blog this week will be posted here and will be contacted or will need to contact me.

Don’t enter me for this – we already have a Keurig. Just wanted to wish you a happy birthday again!
First of all… Happy Happy Birthday! And to answer your questions, I would love to sit down with my great-grandmother. She passed away about three years ago – but not before I got to tell her that she was going to be a great-great grandmother. I’d love to just give her a hug and listen to her talk and talk and talk. I wouldn’t even ask if there’s a heaven, I’d just want to know what was on her mind. 🙂
I would love to sit down with my Mom and have a cup of coffee. We haven’t done that in 6 years and yes, she is still alive. We have been estranged since my Dad died. No matter how much I apologize, she will not speak to me or my kids.

First, I have not put my email in my entries because that makes it then visible not only for you, for anyone else to see also. There has to be a better way than posting our emails publicaly.
I would most like to have the chance to ave a cup of coffe with my maternal grandmother, my nana. She had so much wisdom that in the end because of Alzheimer’s we were unable to document.
I would love to sit down with Anne Boleyn and have a cup of coffee…. or tea. I would want to see if her personality is as fiery as people have described! Thank you sooo much for doing this and I hope you are having a fabulous birthday week! 🙂

I really, really would love to have all my favorite authors in a room with me. I want to pick their brains. And then just sit around and shoot the breeze with a good cup of joe. There are of course people from my past (like my grandparents who I miss more than I can express and friends lost too young) but I really would love to meet Elvis and have him sing to me. Lol. I think he started my whole thing with loving the tall, dark, and handsome men thing. And last but not least, I would love to sit down with the big scientists and philosophers. I want to know what goes through Einstein, Darwin, and Galileo’s head. It would satisfy the nerd in me. 🙂
You’re right Selina…so, I will go back into the post and change that requirement… 🙂
I would like to have coffee with Jim Carey!! That would be great!!! ifindbargains at gmail dot com
My best friend Cathie. She lives in New York. We met at chats and became great friends.
sorry I didn’t stop by yesterday i’m fighting a horrible cold. as for coffee with someone you would be my first choice of course then followed by a few othr however I must say my dream meet and greet of all time would have to be ADamLambert so many of my friends have meet him and praise he kindness that I truly would love to share a cup of coffee with him him. Oh and I too am addict to coffee so we totally need toget together.
I would like to sit down with my friend that died last year. Everyday things happen and I want to tell her about it or just to call and fuss or go shopping. We use to talk of the phone for hours at a time. Honestly she was part friend part mother to me.
I would give anything to sit down one more time with my dad! He pasted away almost 2 years ago very unexpectedly at 56 yrs old. We had a rocky relationship over the course of my childhood and young life. Now as an adult we were trying to fix and rebuild what was so broken. I had spoke to him in March for our birthdays ( we are 2 days apart). Being in the stage we were, we were still not talking as often as I wished. ON May 10th the day after mothers day, I received the call he was gone. Never having a chance to say goodbye or be sure how he knew how much I loved him, even after all we have been through. I would love just one more chance to tell him and to know he is at peace. We never expect our parents to pass so young. I know I never did. Cherish every moment like it is your last!
I would like to sit down and drink coffee with my mother. We don’t get together as often as I like. We recently had breakfast together and it was wonderful being with the woman who raised me and in essence is my role model.
Thanks for the wonderful birthday giveaways!
I would have liked to been able to sit down with my maternal grandmother. She was murdered when I was just a little over a month old, so I did not have the chance to know her at all.
The first person that popped into my head was Mother Teresa followed closely by Ghandi. I am just in awe of Mother Teresa and her dedication to bettering the world. And Ghandi, well is Ghandi. Boy, when I reach, I read high!
I totally get your coffee love. I can’t drink it everyday anymore but I still enjoy a cup every now and again. Have you tried the new “blonde” coffees that are all the rage? My husband got some for Christmas and decided he is a medium to dark coffee drinker. Every time he drinks a cup of his blonde coffee he makes nasty faces 🙂 He is now hooked on the flavored liquid creamers. They smell so good!
Happy Birthday! I’m looking forward to reading what you come up with next!
First, Happy Birthday!! Shake your bear booty and sparkle!!! =)
Crap, to answer a question like this… Well, I enjoy my Parena Bread visits **Evil wink**
But I guess I would have to say that I would love to sit and have coffee with… my best friends… all of them. Together.. back in my home town – New Orleans. To be able to have these wonderful ladies together… because you see my best friends do not live by me. They live in Canada, NC, FL, and LA. So getting together with these ladies would mean the most to me and I know they would all love each other like I love them. They are my most precious treasure (besides my daughter and my boo). I would give my whole world to have them all near me. Sniff sniff. They keep me sane and I love them for that!!! They know who I am talking about!
Happy Birthday!!!!!! I would like to have a cup of coffee with Tupac and Jennifer Nettles.
Happy Birthday!!! Well, I’d have to say I’ve always dreamed of sitting down and having a cup of coffee with Martin Luther King. Would love to know what his mama was like and how his mind worked…eyreka1 at gmail.com
