Howdy y’all! It’s been a few days, huh? I need to get better at this. I just haven’t had much to say.
I am taking a page from my friends and fellow authors, Shayla Kersten and Delilah Devlin and doing a report card. Basically, it’s me giving you an update, sharing anything new, etc…
So, let’s see…
I have been writing. Sort of. Not doing as much as I need, but I am writing. I’ve started on the third and final Blue Jeans and Hard Hats book, Forever In Blue Jeans. I’m not far into it as you can see by the word meter over there on the right, but, it is started. Cort and Blue will be having some hot, naughty fun soon!
Edits will start on book two of the Blue Jeans and Hard Hats series, Cracklin’ Rosie in the next week or so. As soon as I have a cover and a blurb, y’all will be the first to see them! Rosie is slated to come out October 19th from Samhain Publishing.
Edits are finished however on Arctic Shift, my first paranormal shifter book. There are three books planned here as well as there are brothers that need mates. The blurb is in the works with Samhain’s blurb wizard. She will take my mess of a blurb and make it awesome. I’ll share that too as soon as I have it.
For those of you that are looking for Jaz’s story, X Marks (tentative working title), I am hard at work on it. He and Mandi are having that naughty, naughty fun that y’all have come to expect, I hope, from these books.
I am still keeping up with my new eating habits. I have had some desserts recent, and a lovely delicious dark chocolate campfire mocha from Caribou this morning, but I am still staying away from sodas and red meat. I am drinking soy milk and learning to try new recipes, mostly those that I make up on my own. I even tried drinking Silk Soy French Vanilla Creamer in my coffee the other morning but… I’ll give it one more shot tomorrow before I pour it down the drain. I am also drinking a lot more, A LOT MORE water every day.
As my diet monitor, Fallon Blake reminded me today as I was looking for french toast muffin recipes, vegan is not low calorie or low fat. Neither is vegetarian. Neither are most things unless you pay attention and start modifying and substituting. Taking our red meat, dairy milk, and sodas aren’t in and of themselves going to make me lose any weight. But, it’s about baby steps and the more not so good for me that I eliminate and substitute more good for me in place of… then I’ll start seeing more results that way. I am already feeling a little better on the inside and that makes me happy. My body is changing, my skin is changing and I say this because a friend of mine recently told me I look as though I’ve lost some weight and that I have a younger look to my face. I beamed.
I have been walking a few times a week. Light yoga twice a week, usually before I go to bed. Making sure I take some time to myself at least once or twice a week. This whole lifestyle change thing is… it’s good.
And just so y’all can see, this is what I made for dinner tonight:
Grilled Chicken Burgers with shallots, Garden Gourmet Mediterranean Blend herbs and spices, and reduced fat Feta cheese crumbles:
Roasted Baby Potatoes with Olive Oil, fresh ground sea salt, and Garden Gourmet Mediterranean Blend herbs and spices, and reduced fat Feta cheese crumbles:
There was also a spring salad with homemade balsamic dressing. It was all very flavorful, and delicious.
All in all, I am happy with the progress I have made with my writing and my attempts at changing my eating/exercise/stress reduction habits. I need to write more and focus better, organize a little better. I need to incorporate a little more fruit into my diet. And I haven’t gone sex toy shopping in a while. I think it’s time… Grins… This girl does need some stress relief…
Have a wonderful rest of the week, y’all!
