Do you use Pinterest? If not, why? If so, are you a pin-a-holic like I am? There has to be a support group for us, right? Or maybe we don’t want help. Maybe we don’t NEED help for this addiction.
Anyway, I have over 40 boards on Pinterest ranging anywhere from food stuffs to coffee (big surprise, I know) to office spaces to business information to homeschooling to crafts to fangirl things to books… Everything you can imagine or associate with me is found somewhere among those 40+ boards and the scary part is, I’m not even done creating boards.
I thought I’d share one of my favorites though, one that I use weekly and sometimes multiple times a day. My Smoothies board.
If you follow me on social media, you know that I drink smoothies. I love them. I started last year and fell away from it in the fall when football season came around and I admittedly got lazy. I’m trying to get back to being unlazy.
Most people say they don’t like to ‘drink’ their calories, and I totally get that. But, smoothies have helped me get more fruits and vegetables and vitamins into my body than when I wasn’t drinking them. They also helped me curb my enormous sweet tooth, lose a little weight, and in general feel better. They’re not a cure for anything, but they’re an option for me and I love them.
My honesty here is that I’m more likely to reach for a smoothie from the fridge, than I am an apple, orange, pear, mango, or banana even when they’re sitting right on the counter in front of me.
Breakfast, snacks, lunch, or dessert. Green ones or pure fun ones. Oatmeal ones or high in protein ones (though I don’t opt for protein powder). I use frozen fruit most of the time (berries, mango, peaches, bananas, cranberries, pineapple), oats, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, spinach or some other greens (though spinach is my favorite one to use because you can’t taste it at all), chia seeds or flax seeds, lemon/lime/orange zest, almond/coconut milk, orange juice at times. If I add sweetener it’s usually Agave, but honey or pure maple syrup work too depending on the other flavors in the smoothie.
I can cart them around the house as I’m doing chores and they’re super cute in a mason jar with a straw.
If you have Pinterest, take a few minutes to browse my Smoothie board or any of my other boards.
And this smoothie…
is a Creamy Lemon Blueberry Smoothie from On Sugar Mountain. Absolutely delicious!

I’ve been making a large blender of smoothies and dividing them into mason jars for a quick breakfast with a paleo muffin. My favorite is a blue berry and peanut butter blend. I already follow you on Pinterest so I’m really going to check out your smoothie board.
Blueberry and peanut butter? Hmmm… what else goes into it? I’ll have to try it. I’ve done a couple with honey almond butter and vanilla almond butter, but I haven’t used peanut butter, yet. Am afraid it’ll taste really peanut buttery…lol
It’s mainly blueberries, vanilla, plain, or blueberry yogurt, peanut butter and liquid of choice (I usually use almond milk). And sweetener of choice. It’s also good with almond butter. To me it tastes like a obj sandwich which I love. I’ve even put a little bit of spinach in it with no problems.
