When I was a little girl and would go spend the summers with my grandparents, at 10:05am weekday mornings, TBS would play classic movies, some musicals and some not. My grandmother and I would watch Doris Day and Judy Garland and Fred and Ginger, and Bing Crosby, and so many others. Afterward, we’d have lunch, sometimes at home and sometimes out with my grandfather. In the afternoons, we’d take a nap, do chores, start dinner. In the evenings, we’d watch the news, game shows, etc…

I learned a lot during those summers. I learned how to cook, how to make jam, how to crochet and do other crafts. And now that I’m grown, I sometimes wish for those days again. Well, more than sometimes…

Some of these videos are from originals and some are re-makes of classic musical movies and for some reason, I’ve been humming these old tunes…

(I prefer the original movie version of this, but the remake isn’t all that bad)

This has to be my very favorite of so many…

Y’all have a great day!
