Happy September, y’all!
The kids are back in school and it’s time to get back down to the business of writing!
I’m done with client edits for a few weeks and have a great number of words to write.
It’s also the opening weekend of college football and there are a ton of games I will be watching from tonight thru Monday night. I will need to be very efficient with my time, which will mean a timer will be placed on my words so that I get the max out my effort.
As always, anyone is welcome to join in! Just sign up with the Linky below. Comment with your starting word count today and come back to comment with you ending word count on Monday evening (because it’s a holiday weekend in the US, we’ll take our 10K Weekend into Monday).
Let’s have some fun! And don’t forget it’s #10KWeekendsForWriters on social media.
it’s totally time to get back on this train!
Summer saps all my energy and strength and ability to think. It’s the worst time of my year and depression hits me hard, no matter how I try to force myself out of it, I just sink deep into the darkness until late-July. Once August comes around, I’m moving again, forward, rather than downward, and I’m filled with determination and motivation and I’m ready to go! So, that’s what I’m going to do!
If you’d like to join in, I’d love to have you along. Just keep track of your word count throughout the weekend… Today through Sunday at 7pm, then come back and post how far you got. The goal is 10K words, but if you don’t hit that, no sweat because the purpose is to get writing…
Ready? Set? Write!
The weeks are going by faster and faster. It’s a wonder anything gets done at all. Especially this week. It was my birthday Monday and I didn’t do anything. My son came down with the flu this morning and it’s been a little rough. Hopefully, he’ll be better in the next few days.
I spent today working with pencil and paper and I’m always surprised how it helps the thoughts come out a little different. I’m always surprised by how much I can write when I do so on paper. I also wrote a bit in Evernote, one of my favorite note taking applications.
But there are more words to write and I’ll be getting to those in this weekend. If you’d like to join, please add your name to the Linky at the bottom of the post and join me. It’s usually only me doing this. It hasn’t taken off as much as I’d hoped it would, but it’s been keeping me on task and if that’s all it ever does, then that’s enough.
My project this weekend is Bearing The Ink with perhaps some words on a couple of other projects that will be coming in the next few months.
So, if anyone does in fact join in, the hashtag is #10KWeekendsForWriters and the writing weekend ends at 10pm Sunday night! Best of luck!
It’s that time again, writers! Time for an attempt at 10,000 words in a weekend. Do you have word count to meet? Do you have a book you want to make serious progress on? Do you have one big project or multiple ones to get words in on? Then this is for you!
From Thursday (tonight) to Sunday at 10pm, is the time to get your write on!

I realize it’s Valentine’s weekend, but I’m sure you’ve got a few words in your to add to your WIP! NASCAR starts this weekend, too. But I’ll be writing.
