Shadows In Savannah comes out this Thursday. October 1st. As part of All Romance eBooks A Wicked Tale series. And I thought I’d give you a sneak peak…

He was hard. He was always hard when he woke, as most human men were from what he’d heard over the years, but his hardness, his stiff erection wasn’t painful. Even when tight and standing straight, his balls full and drawn up close to his body, he wasn’t in pain. It was a sensation akin to… To… He didn’t know. He didn’t have the words to describe it. It stole his breath and gave it back. If he touched himself, he wouldn’t want to stop. He would want to continue for hours, even days. He had done so before. Getting so lost in the sensations he couldn’t name, he had stayed in his bed for two days, stroking himself, existing only for the pleasure of his cock, neglecting his businesses, his responsibilities.

That was months ago. He hadn’t touched himself since. He hadn’t been this achingly hard since, either. And the only thing that had changed was the feeling, the knowledge that he had been watched last night.
He wanted to know who had done so and that thought propelled him out of bed and into the shower. He was a vampire. He didn’t get dirty. He didn’t sweat. He didn’t smell and his hair didn’t get oily. But the ritual helped him as he moved in and around the humans he dealt with on a daily basis. It helped him feel more like one of them if he shared in their simple experiences.

He could say, however, that he enjoyed the warm water as it slid over him. It was like being caressed and he relished the feeling of heat. It was why he slept wrapped up in blankets, why he kept the temperature in his penthouse set low enough he could tolerate being beneath the covers in his bed.

He had at one time been human and he often wondered if his need to cocoon himself when he slept was his way of trying to feel what it was once like for him. There was no way for him to find out. He had no idea who made him. He had no idea of anything before he was made.

Some days it grated on him, the mystery that was his life before. Other days, he never thought about it.
But what he couldn’t shake was how being watched made him feel and how ravenous he was for sex. For male sex. For cock.

He knew the one who’d watched him was not female. Their scent was different, even the undead ones. It was sweeter, almost too sweet at times. Arousal being one of them. Not that he’d ever said no to a female partner, but last night the scent wasn’t sweet. It was musk. Heavy. Full of lust. A predator having found prey.

Dane loved being preyed upon. Loved it and hated it. It was a constant war inside him and he wasn’t ever sure which side won out when he’d give in to whoever was preying on him. It turned out pleasurable for both in the end, but he had a feeling it would be different with last night’s predator.

2013 Bookie Award Nominees and A Sale

I have never had a book nominated for an award before. This is exciting for me. This is awesome for me. I was completely shocked and surprised and in awe. You know when people say they were honored just to be nominated? Yeah, it’s a real feeling. I’m my first, last, hardest, and worst critic. I always see where I could have done better, where I could have written something smoother, hotter, sexier, deeper. I always see the imperfection of what I’ve created. But that there were people who thought the two stories nominated were worth it… Yeah, for me, it is a definite honor and very humbling.

Here’s the link to the full list of nominees in all categories: Authors After Dark: 2013 Bookie Award Nominees. The actual voting for the winners opens on November 1.

Graham Hall is a twenty-six year old Texan with the job of his dreams: being a freelance travel writer for a national publication. He’s just finished his latest article about small winter resort destinations in Colorado and has earned some personal down time. With the six month lease not yet up on the small cabin he rented, Graham decides to stick around the area for a while and in the process, finds himself agreeing to a blind date with a feisty, down on her luck in the love department, candy maker named Jane.

After all, what could it hurt?

Jane, completely oblivious to the set up, arrives at Graham’s isolated little valley cabin to deliver a box of her handmade Chocolate Kick truffles. From the moment Graham opens the door, Jane is tongue tied and ticked off. Edward, her business partner and most certainly former best friend, set her up. When she regains her ability to put two coherent words together, plus size, mid-thirties Jane apologizes for intruding and assures Graham that she will take care of the mistake.

What ensues is a series of encounters and confrontations between Jane and Edward, Jane and Graham, and Edward and Graham. At the heart of it all, is Jane’s happiness. Edward wants this for her more than anything. Graham finds himself caught up in her tart tongue and curvy body and isn’t about to call his all too real pursuit a failure, no matter how many times she says no.

With her inability to continue denying herself the man she affectionately refers to as Cowboy Surfer in her head, she gives in and is rewarded with scorching hot sex and a lot of follow-up phone calls after she learns the truth of Graham’s attraction. His persistence leads Jane to believe that life doesn’t have to revolve around chocolate truffles, but rather should revolve around a delicious, well traveled and well built younger man.

**This book was previously published and titled as Sugar Rush. It has been revised and re-edited for re-release.**

One rope. Three days. And two hearts on the line.

Justin has had enough. Ella, the woman who healed his broken heart, has been cancelling on him for two months straight. Sure, she’s busy with her job, which has her traveling far and wide. But that never stopped her from sharing nights of trivia, long conversations and blazing hot sex—until now. Truth to tell, he misses their easy friendship, the way her sighs fill his ear as he fills her body.

What he can’t figure out is, what’s changed?

At work, Ella finds it easy to talk to rooms full of strangers. Once back at her lonely apartment, though, she’s back to her painfully shy self—until Justin. Their chance meeting grew over the months into a year-long affair, but she can’t shake the feeling that rejection and pain are just around the corner. Best thing to do? End it now, before their intimacy digs too deep.

Suddenly he’s at her door with a length of neon-green rope and a naughty proposition, daring her to say no. Just how good could it be? There’s only one way to find out…

Warning: The sheets are tangled, the hat is crumpled, and the jeans are worn low on the hips. The cowboy is hot, determined, and helpless in the face of bunny slippers. Readers may need extra batteries to get this one out of their system.

You should definitely get a copy for yourself and well, ’tis the season of giving so you should gift a copy to a friend! 😉

Come January, I’ll be doing my own giveaways…
