A few months ago, author Delilah Devlin put out a call for cowboy stories to include in an anthology from Cleis Press. These were to be short stories and after some thought, I decided to write and submit one. I spent weeks on the 4500 word story. I spent days reading, revising, reading, revising, reading, etc… to get it just right, to get it perfect enough. Delilah writes awesome cowboys. I don’t ever pass up on of her cowboy books. Ever. She’s an amazing author who I admire more than words. I was able to spend some time with her at the Lori Foster con over the summer and I sat enthralled whenever she talked. I learned a lot from her in just a short period, so when she put out this call, I knew I had to try.
It paid off, this taking a chance thing. My story, Small Town Famous, will be included. It’s about a couple, Bethann and Tommy, who have been together since high school, who live in sin, who love each other fiercely, who are rather well known for their public sexual escapades. When a new girl comes to town and dares to lay a hand on Tommy, all hell breaks loose in the form of a shot gun, Bethann behind bars, and Tommy all kinds of turned on. It was a fun little story, inspired by Miranda Lambert’s song, Famous in a Small Town.
The title of the anthology is Cowboy Lust and it will be available come Fall 2012.
Other authors include Cari Quinn, Cat Johnson, Delilah Devlin, Cheyenne Blue, and Charlene Teglia. For a full list of authors and for the full write up of the book’s introduction, click here to be taken to Delilah’s blog.
I am so excited!
Oh, and we have 23 days left before the release of Twisted Up!
Have a great Sunday!
Today, I have Diana and Tanya, the Mistress’ of a fairly new blog on the block, The Forbidden Bookshelf. I have found that both are very fair and honest in their opinions of erotica, erotic romance, and BDSM erotica/erotic romance…
They are also generous ladies and at the end of my Birthday Bash, they will gifting a reader with $15 in eBook Bucks from All Romance eBooks!
Birthday Memory: The birthday memory that jumps out at me was my 37th birthday. We’d gone to the mall the day before, and my son picked up a yucky virus (kids + mall play areas = GERMS!). I spent my whole birthday holding and rocking my poor little feverish boy! Dinner and cake plans were cancelled. He was only one year old at the time. Is it a good or bad memory? Well, bad because he was sick, but I did get to cuddle with him all day. Someday he won’t want his mom to hold him, so I have to appreciate the times he let me. (Had we gone out for dinner, it would have been to a Mexican restaurant. That’s my favorite food!)

Okay! My favorite book choice is A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole.
I love this book because it was the first paranormal romance that I read. It introduced me to the world of beastly alpha males who see what they want and take it. Of course, they must have a soft spot in their hearts for love to balance their beast-side. The shower scene in this book – oh, wow. Unforgetable!

Book of Secrets
This new book — and series — has so many elements that completely appeal to the smexy reader in me. Set in nineteenth-century England, this is the story of seduction by the dangerous, mysterious, sexy, and oh-so-deliciously dominant, dark Fae, Thane. And when this dark Fae/sin Lust, finds his predestined virtue Chasity, and subsequently falls in love with her, he falls hard! Yum! I think it’s true that the higher the pedestal, the harder the fall. In addition, the sexual tension and smexin’ scenes are definitely… engaging! 🙂 A true story of lust being hard to restrain and innocence corrupted!
Of old, humans and Faeries have dwelt side by side in parallel realms. Only the canniest mortals recognize the alluring creatures that often walk–and lie–among them.
The righteous Fae of the Seelie Court cherish an ancient quarrel with their Dark counterparts: a curse born of anger and deceit. The Unseelie Court will perish unless one of is princes can win a woman’s love–honestly, without coercion… and love her wholly in return.
To halt the slow demise of his people, Prince Thane–the embodiment of Lust–infiltrates the Georgian court to seduce his mortal inverse. Noblewoman Chastity Lennox is purity incarnate–a sensual prize well worth winning. But Thane’s carnal quest proves more challenging than he ever dreamed.
No other has ever been able–or willing–to resist his erotic charms. Chastity’s resolve is maddening… and intriguing. It makes him want her all the more. But how best to seduce one who truly seems above temptation? Discover her greatest weakness and become the intoxicating essence of her deepest, most forbidden desires..
