It’s almost time to go racing, y’all! Tuesday, May 11 is when Stick Shift, my second Loose Id title is released! I cannot tell you how much I loved writing this book.
Now, as most of you know, I’m a very big Nascar fan. I pull for Kyle Busch, Bobby Labonte, and in general anyone that beats out Dale, Jr and Juan Pablo!
And yes, I am in general, not very well appreciated in the stands. But hell, when you’re surrounded by Jr Nation and the only one NOT hollering at the top of your lungs for him…
It’s all in good fun! I love going to the races, I love the atmosphere, I love charging the drunk guys a dollar every time they make me get up to let them out for the bathroom and more beer! Funny thing is, they’ll pay it!
Going to a race in the South is hot and sticky and dirty and generally one of the very best times I have all year. Yelling like that really allows one to relieve a lot of tension and frustration.
Stick Shift was inspired by these experiences, by the fans (And man, the people watching… I’ll be twitpic’ing this year because you just wouldn’t believe me about some of these things if you couldn’t see it yourself! Like, the belly flopping in mud puddles last year in the infield during rain delays! Like stilettos and mini-skirts and women getting pissed when men make comments about them! Oh, and let me not forget to mention the guy that had his hand up… Okay, yeah, LET me forget to mention that one! It still haunts me!), by the race car drivers, by my own imagination.
And don’t, as readers, forget that this is fiction. I don’t get real technical in this book. There’s some race jargon, but for the most part this is a book about the characters, just as every other book I write. I write about characters, about their interactions with one another, about their feelings, about their sexual desires, about what touches them.
By the time May is over, you’ll all probably know way more about Nascar than you ever wanted to know, but, I’ll try to make it as fun for you as it will be for me. Grins…
Stick Shift, as I said, is my second title from Loose Id. It’s about a hot young stock car driver by the name of Cam that is shocked off his ass when he meets up with the smile of Lily in an autograph line. He’s hooked and little does he know at the time, so is she. The following is an unofficial blurb for the book. The official one won’t go up until Loose Id puts it up on their website.
Blurb:
Lily hasn’t taken a vacation in years. She an orchestra musician, a private music teacher, and a homebody. She’s full-figured, quiet and lives a fairly simple life. Aside from music, she has one big passion: stock car racing. She’s been a fan for as long as she can remember and makes the yearly pilgrimage to Daytona as often as she can. When she’s offered a chance to get away to North Carolina and attend two weeks of races, she jumps at it. Little does she know what chance has in store for her…
Cam Carter is one of the most successful young drivers in the top tier of the stock car racing circuit. Traveling all over the country, he’s well known to racing fans, loved by some, respected by a few, and hated by others. He’s arrogant, strong willed, and a consistent winner. What he doesn’t have is balance…until he meets a pretty, curvaceous, and unassuming fan named Lily.
Lily fears the difference in lifestyles, ages, and personalities while Cam in turn, embraces them. Can they find a way to cross the finish line and take the checkered flag together? Or will the obstacles push against them until they crash and burn?
That’s all for now! I’ll be posting excerpts over the next couple of days. This book contains some spanking, a piece of clothing used for a gag during outdoor sex play, some car sex, a trip around the race track at 200mph, and some molasses cookies!
The green flag will drop on Tuesday!
