Well, we’re having another blog hop! Are y’all ready to participate? This hop is hosted by and brought to you by The Blog Hop Spot! For more information on the hop and for a full list of all participating authors and blogs, please visit the blog hop event page: http://thebloghopspot.com/event-page/.
As I’ve been thinking of Valentine’s Day, I have thought about the different people in my life who I feel are special enough to be considered Valentines. Of course there are the normal ones, like my husband and children. But, there are others, as well. Close friends and some of my readers would make the list. I value these people so very much for their constant and never wavering support and shoulders and ears and time and patience and love. I’m sure we all have these kinds of friends in our lives who make our days more special…
When we think of Valentine’s Day, most of us usually think of flowers, candy, cards, balloons, sex 😉 , special dinners or desserts. We don’t have a tradition or particular thing we do for Valentine’s Day. It’s never been important to us in that way, really. However, I am making a nice dinner this year, lobster mac and cheese, a nice salad with homemade dressing, and some sort of dessert, perhaps a sugar-free hot fudge sundae.
Now, I was going to just give a copy of my book, Twisted Up, but I think I’ll expand the giveaway a little…
$10 gift card to Amazon or Barnes and Noble
$10 gift card to Starbucks, Caribou Coffee, or another of your choice
One copy of Twisted Up
One copy of any one of my backlist
What do you have to do in order to be entered? Simple.
A. Like my Facebook fan page (Click on the Facebook coffee cup on the sidebar)
OR
B. Follow through Networked Blogs (over on the sidebar)
OR
C. Sign up for my Newsletter (on the sidebar)
OR
D. Follow my Blog via RSS, Email, or Linky Followers (all can be found on the sidebar)
(Google Friend Connect is going to be unavailable starting March 1, so if you currently follow through GFC, please choose another option so you do not miss anything.)
After you’ve chosen one of those options, come back here and leave a comment that you’ve done so, leave an email address so I can contact you if you win, and tell me if you do or don’t like Valentine’s Day. If you’d like, you can even tell me why or why not, but that isn’t required.
I’ll choose winners on Wednesday, February 15th and post the names here on the blog.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to leave it in the comments section.
I hope all of you have a great time on the blog hop and best of luck to everyone!

I do like Valentine’s Day, but more in theory. I don’t have a Valentine to call my own yet. But someday I plan on enjoying it to its fullest extent. 🙂

36 years ago this Valentine’s Day married my soul mate!! I am so blessed to have found him.
I picked Valentine’s Day because, LOL I knew he’d never forget our anniversary and he hasn’t.
We just have to celebrate on a different day because everyone else is out on our day LOL.
Thanks,

Valentines is not big at my house, but I like to make the kids feel special. I give them a small box of chocolates. My husband and I have a tradition of celebrating of the 15th when everything is 75% off. We see who can get the best deal. The person who does get to decide the evening’s “entertainment .”. I lose most times…*wink wink*.

Look at all of you! I am so happy that you’ve come to share your thoughts about Valentine’s Day! As I’ve said, it’s not a big deal in our house. However, I will say my husband just sent me flowers for the first time on Valentine’s Day in…wow. It’s been a very long time. I am completely shocked. They’re beautiful. He definitely deserves the sugar-free (he’s diabetic) Oreos now…grins.
